I have many children. Too many, my wives tell me. Two sons and eight daughters. I have 12 grandchildren, and their spouses, then twenty two great grandchildren, with more coming, it seems alomost on a monthly basis. So I am secure in my manhood, and do not have to fear homophobia. Some of my friends are gay. They do not try to jump my bones, but they are dear, funny, and very kind people. Back to the poem. It is a very well written and heart felt statement from one who considers themeselves to be abnormal. Very sad, and very misplaced. In my world, all are welcome.

If you are not gay, why did you write this poem? Frankly, I'm bored by the painfully liberal. Why can't they shut up for five minutes? Why can't we just talk about the cricket or something?

I have three very dear men in my life that are gay and a couple lesbian woman. I don't know what to say when I am in church about it because I do see others acting as if it is the only sin there is. There are things that go on between a man and woman that can also be considered an abomination but I don't see such a stink made over that. I don't think it is ever okay to mistreat someone then blame it on your opinion of their lifestyle. I only know how I obey and honor God, it is between me and Him. Other people's relationship with God is private with Him too. My gay friends are loved deeply by me and their sexual orientation will never change that. Jesus said to treat others as we would have them treat us. It is not our job to look down our nose and point our fingers at other people. Lord knows I have enough that needs fixing in me to last a lifetime.....I have no right to point at other peoples lives in judgment.....no one does....love doesn't do that....

Dinesh Sir 1) What harm do you perceive in a gay/lesbian relationship? Two women who love each other, with their mutual consent enter into civil partnership, how that can cause the erosion of culture? Please note that cultural standards itself are questionable. Hence your analogy of cannibalism is irrelevant and not standing 2) Regarding the social system: How sure you are that our social system has achieved its best? History has taught us that no social system is constant and liable to change Where people can marry 14 year olds and rape them 'legally' behind closed doors, where do you see the social order? In Tamil Nadu, one can marry their sister's daughter. As a Keralite, can you think of it? How would you socially accept honour killings? 3) Science says it is not a disease but a state. Just like Mangaloids/Negroids/Cocasoids, it is a state that can not be CURED 4) SC has said, with the existing law that is written in colonial times, such acts are punishable. They cannot amend the law and SC advised parliament to do so if wished Thanks for your comments!

No man of faaith will accept vandals of love.No bird or fish or animals enjoy sodomy or lesbianism except base born, westernized youth. We have to follow Nature's Law for a happy life. Sex organs are set by birth to males and females for procreation. Misuse of them will cause psychic disorder.I appreciate the openness of this poem.

A cannibal may argue that man`s flesh is the tastiest and so he be permitted to go ahead with his eating habits. Should law permit him to be so? Should we give him a chance to explain the taste of human flesh? An emphatic NO is the answer... A social system that thrives on the erratic norms of life may permit any wrong. Being a gay is a disorder of the kind which nature never permits and the very notion is highly disturbing to mind. No, 'you' need not be banished from the 'kingdom' though you need to be 'cured of things'. Permitting you to live the way you wish is not in right perception of life and you have to join the main stream of purposeful civilization. The Supreme Court of India has considered every pros and cons before giving the verdict and man need not surpass animal which goes by the law of nature and man need not excel them with novel approach to life and its intricacies of the kind. Dear Aswath, you can delete this message if you wish. HAPPY NEW YEAR

Being gay is never bad...in God's eyes everyone is equal, its the act of sin that brings transgression!

Beautiful poem Aswath. Its really sad when a gay is being misunderstood, especially after the court declared that relationship as illegal. They should also have a life. The society still misunderstands their relations.
