Unconditional Love is certainly the true form of love. Unfortunately human love is conditional. We love the lamb in the hands of Jesus. But we eat the lamb too. We drink the milk of the cow. And later we eat the same cow when it has no milk.

Many don't realize the treasure learning is, nor how important the liberty to peruse it, is. You do. May they always guide your path. I appreciate your comment immensely, my dear friend and phenomenal poetess.

Sandra, after reading this poem, I smiled. And smiled. And smiled some more. I've been smiling all day. The words are profound. The imagery is beautiful. The poetess has a heart of gold. Always so supportive and encouraging. Always giving very positive feedback. With poetry to boot. And so very deserving of a 2nd Poem Of The Day! And now, why I'm still smiling. I've never been diagnosed with a learning disability. But I learn differently from others. I first discovered that when my parents were trying to teach me how to tie my shoes. They gave up! Fortunately, my Godmother came to the rescue. She taught me another way. And I had grasped it immediately. To this day, I still do it her way. And I'm still learning my way. My learning is fun creative exciting. As all learning should be. Your latest Poem Of The Day should be posted in the sky for the world to see! It should be required reading for all teachers! Once again, a Hearty Congratulations!

Richard, as a child, I was the last in my class. But by some kind of grace, I changed and realized that learning was happiness, life and light. I became a teacher and everyday appreciated whatever I could better myself with, by learning. Poetry also has been a great teacher. And has always given me the most unexplainable pleasure ever. You're words here, today are so much more than laudatory, they have touched and entered my heart where they will remain safe guarded as one of the best literary memories of my humble poetry. I am truly still amazed at your words that I don't deserve. Thank you so much!

So delighted for you Sandra congratulations this wonderful poem makes me aware of the ways i can be petty mean and small. thank you for opening my heart. It seems a love of learning is part and parcel of being a poet. How lucky we are.

I'm sure you are not petty and mean, although at times we all display more weakness than strength of character. Only human weakness, you know. I agree that love and learning are part of a poet's good fortune, since he has no other..... And yes, we are spiritually richer than the rest and blessed (sometimes) Very grateful for your words.
