Being alone is all my choice
It is my decision, my own voice,
It is the life that I alone did choose
After of course, I have paid all my dues.
I am not alone because of my looks
I am not alone because of my books,
And if you need to know the truth to your query
It might make you sad and very teary.
I have been told that I am a good looking man
With always a smile and a great adventurous plan,
I am not mean, judgmental or ever greedy
And I always help others, especially the poor and the needy.
I don't smoke or drink or use any type of drugs
I also don't swear or curse or abuse women like thugs,
And when at night I go to bed
I fall asleep easily, knowing of the good day that I led.
I treat women the way that they all should be treated
As queens they should always be greeted,
And as the Bible says about finding diamonds after being mined
Indeed a good woman is so very hard to find.
I have been in this life for such a very long time
And I have seen almost every type of pain or crime,
And why am I alone you might still want to ask
I am just tired of being the only person not wearing a mask.
