Hey Bob, you know how everyone says you have to get on your knees for prayer to work? I disagree. I mean, getting on your knees is a sign of respect for the Almighty, sure, but I think he hears just as well if you’re slouching in your Barca-lounger. Or skiing. See, I was skiing one time and I got lost (not my fault - bad trail markers) . I ended up at the top of an extremely steep hill and there was no other way down. I prayed that I would get down safely. As it turned out, I made it down without breaking my neck, so I guess God intervened, right? These days I engage in preemptive praying while I’m riding up on the chairlift. That has the added benefit of making the people sitting next to me quit their yapping.
