Begging To Be Loved Poem by Miss Grace

Begging To Be Loved

Rating: 5.0

Hair sprawled on the table
I rest my head on
eyes jealous of the ice
in the drink
that once had a similar sparkle.

The silence at this
gloomy bar
feels foreign,
in front of our screaming.

I stare at my whiskey
as all the memories flash
in front of my eyes.

My heart broke each time
I begged you to love me.
I wished on each star
that one day,
maybe, you could finally
truly be mine.

But fate is cruel
and cruel are its ways.
It didn't even comfort me
with a lie,
when it made me realize
that you wouldn't have
made me beg
if u ever had loved me...
