Dandy of a poem Joseph; my father fought across Europe so this truly touches me. And I fully love and agree with your last stanza, may it be so.

Well, Joe you wrote a most beautiful poem and my hope is that you never go. A fitting tribute to the brave men and women who gave their lives and health so that we might live free.

Kind of bitter sweet. We love our veterans. I had no idea so many are leaving us daily. Your poem, superbly written, reminds me of “The Make a Wish Foundation.” Yours is a selfless, and grand wish, which I hope would be granted abundantly. Such would benefit all humanity, as well as make your heart smile. You’ve found your calling, served your purpose and paid your dues. Infinite thanks to you. And may you enjoy a good number of years yet on this ole earth. The best of best wishes to you.

Truly wonderful to be able to say from the bottom of my heart, we shall never forget the bravery, the souls that lost their most precious gifts, life liberty and so many sacrifices we could never imagine. This is just so lovely and makes one think of many different scenarios...... (thank You)
