Deborah, I enjoyed this poem. We all reach the end of our days, I believe there is a part of me that never changes, unlike my body which is aging. Enjoy the now moments of your life. Bob

I often ponder upon death in truth because I try to fathom why we learn so much during life for it all to be wiped out by oblivion....I'm not religious. Of course I wont know till I get there. Sometimes it is good to put down how we feel about this subject which with lots of folk is a little taboo. An interesting and thought provoking verse. Thankyou Ruth

Since all have to die There is no need 2 cry To brood over n look back The whole life through a crack Pick up memories n things To meet the challanges The next birth brings

Dear Deborah. Very moving poem, very universal subject, as we all must go through death's door, as you put it. Strange to be lonely going where everyone goes, but truly we all go alone. I believe death is a dreamless sleep, from which we do not awake. An un-knowing, never ending end to the individual concerned. This comforts me, old atheist that I am, and I would that it comfort you. I have accompanied many to death as a hospice nurse, and peace without worry or pain is the best gift of all.
