My prostrations are unto thee, Oh! pleasant mother earth, I leave thy inn- Herewith I return my keys. Thanks for all the dales and kindly lease..........most brilliant tribute to great poet Mahakavi P.Kunhiraman Nayar, hats off to his poetic glaze by curve of meaning by mortality and ultimate genuflection to mother earth at finale by surrendering all belongings what he had with him all through life, wonderful feeling yet utterly evocative, and translation certainly reaches the niche to delve truth, well done dear, i applaud,10+++, thanks for sharing

We can't survive without Mother Earth and this is a fine tribute indeed to her. Also I admire the translation you have done in the first stanza. 10 love Karin

The first stanza is really touching, the poet's thanksgiving to this mother earth before taking leave of her once for all. The way he has presented his feelings, he must have been a Mahakavi, I can understand. The rest of the lines have been made up as if he would have written the same. Nice work.

mother earth will forever give birth to all that we need, everytime that she plants her seed. but! humanity must learn to respect and give back to her. a ten

Yeah but before leaving the inn. One must fulfilled the purpose for which inn was rented. And purpose was to get enlightenement. And once you achieve this it doesnt matter whether you care for inn or not. When you cross the other shore of samsara there is no need to think about boat(body) .Still if you want to take care, just take care so you can help others to cross the ocean.........a good write.......

I can vaguely make out the great original in Malayalam. Recently I met Sri Sridharan, an eminent Malayalam Poet, at Nellore. When he sang one of his lyrics (it seems he is writing for movies) (his voice was melodious too) we were all immersed in the beauty of the language and his great expression, though our understanding of Malayalam is very poor. But the language itself has got some magic in it. This poem has such great content, which proves the rich literary heritage of Kerala. Thanks for inviting me to read this one.
