" The theory of universal love propounded by the Sufis about 1000 years ago is still relevant today." And this is the need of the hour. When the political profits are gained killing the love and communal harmony.

Thanks for your lovely feedback. The message of love is forgotten. It is the opportune time to revive the spirit of great Sufi saints and their immortal message of love.

Great! The theory of universal love propounded by the Sufis about 1000 years ago is still relevant today. Yes because love that lets the world alive; Soulful still. Universal poetry! One thing I must say that the translation has its universal appeal too. Wowen into lovely diction,

A most thought-provoking poem about problems of the night. 'The chalice of the body' a striking image. I chose this splendid poem as I suffer from insomnia, need sleeping tablets. My dream is to return to no-tablets sleep.

The last 3 nights I have slept without tablets. I want to stay off zopiclone forever now. 'The addict will be free of craving'. I like the extended metaphor of the bottle and glass of wine. The whole poem is an inspiration to me.

Feels good that you could manage to have sleep without pills. My problem is different. I oversleep.

I am slowly getting out of the disorder, it's now 4 nights without tablets. Even if I only drift off to sleep for a couple of hours, that's all right.

This is a fabulous poem Rajnish ji. Jalaluddin Rumi is a poet par excellence. I love his poems for the myriad images he creates through his words, metaphors, similies and deep philosophy of love. Rajnish ji, i doubt if anyone can translate this poem better than you. A full score...10

I am a great fan of Rumi, Sheikh Sadi and Omar Khayyam who have created some timeless work of literature through their Sufi Poetry in Persian. We are fortunate to find these wonderful nuggets here and there and try to preserve them in our own way. Thanks for an amazing review and your very kind words, Geeta ji. I feel humbled.
