As I trod the sands by the sea,
Teasing my toes with water ripples,
I relented at the real beauty
That I saw from all angles.
The blazing beauty of the soothing sun,
Setting the west in a gleam of orange,
And the brick-red reflection so eloquently cast
On the cool waters of the oceans range.
Brilliant breeze blowing beneath my ears,
Making me tremble and flutter a little,
Purely in contrast to the warmth of the summers
I baked on while I was little.
Surging sounds of waves rising and falling,
Creating a hum with their relentless roaring.
So beautiful still is the blues of the sea,
Charming and calling everyone to see.
As I trod the sod to the waiting van,
Burrying my feet deep in the sand,
I knew for sure I would return,
To see this beauty of God's own creation.
