Beauty Of Denial Poem by Dorsey Baker

Beauty Of Denial

The eye does not see
Anything of worth
When beauty is taken for granted
The ugly head of darkness
Cast its shadow
When beauty is
Taken for granted
A wicked place
The world becomes
When beauty
Is taken for granted
For the sake of vanity
Truth is forsaken
And the breathing
Of mankind becomes labored
When beauty
Is taken for granted
