Beauty Poem by Freeyad Ibrahim

Beauty

By Freeyad Ibrahim

Whenever I see
a beautiful
an attractive
an enchanting
a charming
a velvety eyed
an Oryx eyed
The deer eyed
Crescent eyebrowed Beauty
With a tweeting voice
Resembling a chirping bird
flowing between the stones
in a whisper sounding creek
Lips red like twilight
Bloody red
Pomegranate like
And a delicate nose
And two cheeks like apples
Like Red Roses
And a chest
Where two pomegranates are fixed
And the pomegranates carry
two pomegranate flowers
At the end attached
With a jaunty walk
And a swagger talk
A walk like one of a partridge
A talk soft and musical
A stature as a statue erected
If you see her
You'd give in to her
All her demands accepted.
Follow Her even to the Hellfire
And say thanks God
Given me an earthly paradise
A joyous world unexpected
under which rivers flow
from which her image is reflected
Her scene is a sign of beauty,
Majesty, perfection, selected
In front of such a beauty
I don't crave a hug
A tightly squeeze
To express affection
Is not requested
Even a Kiss is not intended
I stand still
Smiling, drugged, intoxicated
Like a madman bitten, enchanted
Enchanted by a charming creature
I can just stand looking
shocked,
Perplexed

In front a majestical Rose
No move, just looking
Sniffing at it,
Bowing to it
But not plucking it,
I leave it
Untouched.
