Beauty Poem by Michael Maxwell Steer

Beauty

Beauty is the pregnancy of a dew drop
Beauty is in the dancing light -
In the majesty of a mountain top
And the lazy warmth of a summer's night.

Beauty is in the yearning for righteousness.
It also lies in symmetry.
Beauty comes from using power to bless,
not curse; and loving harmony.

Beauty lies in the use of mercy; it's
in our will to change.
It's rugged and wild in the words of prophets:
it's everywhere free spriits range.

Beauty is the sons of men who choose
to live within the spirit's glory,
not surrendering to those who lose
both sense of plot and story.
