Hi Ms Chatterjee, Beautiful poem on the love between mother and child. She is the princess of my heart- yes my one and only beloved Kochi... Very expressive poem. I have posted 15 poems in the new series, on the story of Satyawati. Satyawati is great-grand mother of Kauravas and Pandavas of the Indian epic, Mahabharat. Could you please find time to read them. Caution: the story is not complete yet. I am on the job.. Thank you -unnikrishnan

For a mother her child is the most beautiful child. A mother's love for her daughter nicely painted by the poetess. A well deserved selection as members poem of the day. Congratulations.

This makes me remember how I used to drink in my little daughter's beauty. Your poem reminds me that the Creation brings the admirer and the admired together to manifest beauty. This is not just selfish satisfaction!

Complete one year has passed when I first read this poem. I am glad to say that I am enamored by the beauty and the simplicity of poet's narrative on her lovely daughter. Thanks again.

Miss world, miss universe Beyond the fame and its curse Live many a maid of beauty unseen Common folks living their daily dreams Not with cosmetics or with fairness creams But as daily wagers with sweaty brows and figures lean…… (Great poem of your madam)
