It was only a dream, But because it was so beautiful a dream, It breaches life and sweetness to your soul, while you was sleeping! Thank for sharing!

Nika, this is a poem of true beauty. Vivid imagery. Heart-felt emotion. And a stepping stone to achieving goals. John C. Lily, a pioneer in dolphin research, and the power of the mind, wrote a book about he had envisioned his wife in his dream state. Sure enough, he met her in real life. And they got married. Through the power of the dream state, and other naturally induced altered states of consciousness, all kinds of goals can be successfully accomplished. Thank you for writing this beautiful poem about your beautiful dream. It is truly worthy of Poem Of The Day. Congratulations!

Then at once, I woke up but I wasn't disappointed all along I knew It was only a dream a beautiful dream of who you might be - - - - - - - - -All along you knew that it was a dream- - - -This line sums up the poem- - - -Even if we know that it is a dream, not attainable, still we love to dream- - to fly to that wonderland where we find every thing of our fancy- -the things that we do not find in reality. - - Nicely penned.Congratulations for Poem of the Day.

It's touching! The way sweet dreams can touch when you have to wake up and still there is nothing like that. A lovely poem.

I like the diaphanous feel of this dream, or is it in reality some actual existence now lurking just behind a theater scrim? It's wonderfully evocative. From the first word, archaic and out of use, but useful and precise, a perfect way to set the scene. I can't quite fully convince myself that this purely a poem of a dream. It may be that hint of wistfulness of a lost lover, that ghost of loneliness, infuses this poem with a real presence, a romance both ideal and mysterious in its allure to know what can't be known: the other. There is faith here, an unreasonable belief, a stretching beyond the self, that is masterfully captured. Somehow what is unsettled, and even unsettling in the poem, has a calm certainty and conviction that is deeply confidant in what is suggested without explicit expression. An extraordinary balance.
