Each one of us is inspired by our fellow poets and writers. I'm not a translator by profession. I basically do it for my own satisfaction. When it is received well by the poet or a reader, it comes as a bonus. Thanks, My Dear Poet Friend.
This is the first time that a poem of mine has been translated into another language, That makes it very special for me. Just do not know how to thank you Rajnish ji. All i can say is that i am most humbled and grateful. Remain blessed always.
Thank you so very much, Geeta ji, for the sentiments expressed about this translation. But, I would not hesitate to tell that this particular work was not a cake walk for me. It was rather a challenge going by the finely nuanced description of a butterfly- its beauty, its life and its activities.
The more i read the translation of the poem, i am fully convinced that the translation is better than the original poem. Hindi is such a beautiful language, Rajnish ji you are a Master in it. The words, vocabulary and the stylised way it is presented, i feel the translation is simply marvellous.
What you have written about this translation shows your own stature as a great poet of undisputed merit. This translation cannot take away the spellbinding aura of the original work. Further, like any other living language, Hindi can also do wonders if handled sensibly and used with proper care.
