'Pimped wars' says so much in two words. You have been writing at white heat recently, so I'm glad for your recognition. Your outcry against senseless war galvanizes me. When our instrumental rationality gets twisted, it's not so rational after all.

white heat has a burn out price tag, I was just relieved to get a political spectrum completed with 'Wisdom States It Is Not Wise' and 'Fear Religious Political Inquisitions'; it is difficult to get sustained broad-spectrum political succinct and accurate

Terence, Heartiest Of Congratulations on POD! When I first read this poem, I was praying that it would receive the honour of POD. Your poem's message needs to be heard throughout the whole world!

They observe, witness and feel and then write about something. Every wise king employed poets in their court, not to compose praiseworthy verses about them but rather to keep them in touch with the common/average person.

P2 several present governments suppress critical voices, claiming this to be hate speech or comment that might offend; poverty attacks on freedom offends

P1I have thought since about twenty, that most people are so engaged with working and economic survival pressures, that they have little time to relax and think; such struggles

P3 the interesting point is the word you used 'wise', dictators first imprison or kill opposition like scholars teachers poets political opposition that opposes them,

I wrote the poem 'Political Suppression Of Citizens Offends' and the split images 'Burned Out Workers Seek Escapism' and 'Cunning Attacks On Freedom Of Speech', inspired by my reply to the poet M. Asim Nehal.

Congrats for this thought provoking poem being selected for Member's POTD, Only if politicians, thinkers, law-makers pay attention to what poets have to say about present condition/situation nothing will change. Poets are third eye of the society.

At the outset accept my Congrats for Member POTD honor. Animals fight for two reasons - for food and for otherwise they live peacefully unlike we humans, who even after having both fight to show our supremacy. Good poem from great inspiration Full ****

Thank you Rajan I did not know, I am behind in writing and replying to a few fellow poets. I always thought I was a bit of a problem, believing in peace and freedom is not always a popular topic, people suffer we emotionally share their pain.

War, as is all violence including the verbal ones, is the manifestation of the animal instinct in human genes. Fantastic poem. Top score

2) very much misguided and is a very powerful group of extremists who will stop at nothing to ensure that Armageddon does indeed happen. As poets, and other artistes, it is our duty to guide them back on the right path!

All the early poems I posted about peace here 'Universal Peace', 'Recipe For Peace', 'Recipe For Peace: Reality Check', 'Proposed - A Question! ' and 'Peace Peace Is Needed! ', were of no interest to anyone at the time.

I did write a few nuclear poems including 'Lemmings Into The Sea' and 'Black Rain: From Hiroshima To Nagasaki', which could be defined as a version of Armageddon; I have been to this site in Israel, it was open green fields then.

Terence, I sincerely wish that this poem, and others by you, would be posted to every Evangelical Movement site in the US. Jesus Christ wants enlightened souls to prevent Armageddon. As a Christian, it's hard for me to say this: the American Evangelical Movement is...

A lot of people seem to love war and hate peace? A few seem to hate the topic of peace and peacemakers? Give peace a chance is not in fashion yet?

I wrote the poem 'Wonderful Witnessing True World Global Peace', inspired by the word wonderful, in a comment by the poet LeeAnn Azzopard, about the poem 'Beautified Humanity: Never Unless Outlawing Pimped Wars! '

I wrote the poem 'What Is A Worthwhile Life? ', inspired by a reflection upon enlightened nurturing souls, and their place in society, after the poet Dr Dillip K Swain quoted a tercet on this, from the poem 'Beautified Humanity: Never Unless Outlawing Pimped Wars! '.

I have been considering how wonderful it would be if enlightened souls had more impact in society and will soon post a possible answer.
