Linda, thanks for transporting me back to the good old days of the 60's. It was through the Beatles that I got started writing way back in 1963. They were all over the British press. I said one day to a friend of mine I was working with, if John and Paul can write songs why can't we. And that was that. Forty odd years later I'm still trying to make it as big as them. Thanks for sharing this one, it brought back some lovely memories. David

Not many will remember the hysteria that accompanied The Beatles' every move. Just imagine leading them into Heathrow...lucky you! Great memories :) jack.

All those trigger words conjure up another world! And it was. Thrilling business too second time around - it comes out so clearly in and between the lines. Fondly expressed, fondly remembered and you carried us all back there with you. Thank you. x jim

The diverted flights and the memory of Beatles a good experience Linda. How one can forgets the Beatles when you think of their 'Eleanor Rigby'?

What a great read..... I can tell you, circling around an airport does nothing to help with the stomach does it? But hey, to have the Beatles underneath almost makes it worth that bilious feeling! What a great claim to fame Linda! HG xx

Funny how the old tunes carry us back to a feeling in time, a mood and perception well penned here.

Reminded me of the lines from Back in the U.S.S.R....you know, 'On the way the paper bag was on my knee, / Man, I had a dreadful flight'. Sir Paul McCartney just gave us a jingle, and said, 'dooby, dooby, dooby...say, that Linda Ori's a bit of all right, mate, isn't she? ' For full effect, if reading that quote aloud, one must use his or her best Liverpudlian accent. Way to go, lovely Linda! 'Twas listening to 'The Doors' just now, but now feel the need to slip on the 'Revolver' or maybe 'Rubber Soul' album.

great memory, Linda. I've had a number of diverted flights after decompressions or poor visibility...MAC-air! ! (you sit backwards or in a jump-seat, the stewardesses have deep voices, hairy legs and serve stale sandwiches) . Landing commercial in London, it can be an exciting place! -Tailor
