Beacon Poem by Pasquale DiMeola

Beacon

Be with me when I have fallen
On my knees in utter despair
Receive the voice who is calling
The only person that will care

Come to my rescue day or night
As the city sleeps in neglect
Illuminate all your sunlight
Untie this tight noose from my neck

Reserve for me the love I crave
And pull me in your loving arms
Then rock us with the ocean waves
Against your body soft and warm

In a world so full of hatred
You hold for me all that's sacred.
