I am enamored reading one of the famous poems of The Great Rumi, I adore and much more 5 Stars fullest on TOP
Leaves get yellow. The tree puts out fresh roots and makes them green. Why are you so content with a love that turns you yellow? /// love for you O great
O love come, come alone come, come and do not moan be with one one and one
Robert Frost said, world will be destroyed not by fire, but by ice., ice of insouciance. So let us remain standing and welcome, cajole our people to be in perpetual readiness to work.
Be with those who help your being. I could have used hearing those words at different stages of my life. I suspect we all could have. But had we heard them, would we have heeded them? When I was young, I didn't have the wisdom to employ this saying into my life. I find that now that I am older, I still lack wisdom but this time the wisdom to recognize the difference between those who only appear to help your being and those who would really help your being.
Good advice written centuries ago that still holds true today. No rhyme, but that's what happens with translations.
Don't hang with negative people, people that hold you back. Instead surround yourself with relationships that help you to become a better person. Rumi was a smart man.
To be fruitfull in life, be devoted. That path also requires a proper company. So, beware! - says Rumi here.
Why are you so content with a love that turns you yellow? you should be with those who help your being. Nice write
Beautifully articulated piece of poetry written with insight. Thanks for sharing.
Very interesting poem for inner awareness and leading a perfect life harmonious to all.
Be with those who help your being. Don't sit with indifferent people, whose breath comes cold out of their mouths. Not these visible forms, your work is deeper. ....a kind word can go along ways....a kind deed even farther..
Is it selfish to follow this advice and only grace your presence to those who help you? Maybe instead we should try to help others find their being and find our own that way. Maybe instead of taking we should only give. I regret that this poem doesn't have a semblance of a rhyme, but the words are clear and thought provoking.
A poem of great wisdom! Superb imagery!
