Life's monstrosities
Keeps head above water
Mouth's fight to eat bread
Wolves dress in sheep's clothing
Sell many friends
As vultures they await
To eat innocent flesh
To make extra bread
Blow your nose, not your mind
In difficult times
One must be wise
With determination
The hands of divine order
Man will learn to be strong
All rights...Eyan Desir
A coward dies many a death, while a brave man dies once-this poem proves this saying.
very powerful write my dear poet. very sacrificial. great explanations too. and good description as well.
Your first stanze brought pictures of Refugees lining up for their bread and Betrayal, Politicians - the metaphor so apt, wolves in sheep's clothing. What to say - are we fools to trust or or they wiser, to take advantage of our goodness and trusting spirit, With GOd's help I'd rather be a Fool! Thanks for a stirring and inspiring poem, Eyan. ........The hands of God Man will learn to be strong nice! ! ! ! ! The God is really our strength. Be strong and blessed! !
determination is success.... here's my favorite line...Blow your nose, not your mind
give yourself a 10+++ It has the inference of a traditional Haiku that hangs in the mind for a lot longer than three lines. the 'mouth' s fight to eat the bread' along with the, ' Vultures that make more bread' compeling lines for mind's that find the, 'mana of life' is in the messages, emotions, and feelings conveyed in poetry. nice job! ! !
Dear poet, Difficult times reveal our characters. Hard times is a solid ground where miracles can be forged, hope can abound and life prove itself beyond our expectations. There´s a always a blessing disguised as despair and suffering... Nice doing! Thanks for sharing.
