Be Present Poem by Esther Hadassah Sendeza

There is a lot that goes on around us,
That can easily absorb us,
That can make us forget,
That can eat away our time on earth,
From what really matters.

Listen to your kids talk about their day,
Be there for the true friends that matter,
Have that uninterrupted date night,
Go on that girls trip,
Take that 5hr long drive to see grandma,
Surprise your spouse in the middle of a work day,
Read that bedtime story to your child.

Switch off the world and tune in to yours.

We can easily get consumed with worry,
And other things that steal our moments.
The one thing nobody can buy is time,
So be present for the people you love.
