Be Near My Love Poem by Gio Masserati

Be Near My Love

Love,

Be near, my love, be near...

When I was born
Wrapped in swaddling
Gentler was fantasy

Smooth as a dream

As I became of age
Growing older, cold
Clothing again
Swaddles me
In peace
As truths are released

To this day
I've sworn my heart to you

My husband to be

Adornment
Detailed by reality's hopes
Attainment so near
Longings...willed sufferings?
Adorning me by actualization
Of dreams fantasy...in motion
Love's beholden treasured jewels

O be near, my love, be near
Be near oh, my loved one, be here...
