Sometimes, life is a gentle river
That nourishes forever
And sometimes like torrential rain,
Causing havoc and pain.
Sometimes, life is a soft breeze
That helps to soothe and please
And sometimes like violent twister,
Triggering immense disaster.
Sometimes, life is a flame of candle
That is easy to handle
And sometimes like massive wildfire,
Turning into a funeral pyre.
Be it triumph or torment,
May life's experiences lead to enlightenment.
This humble little poem provides a clean and clear-cut definition of life
Hi Bipasha, Lovely poem. A little philosophical as an afterthought. But while reading the poem, one is carried away by the wonderful narrative. Life has its ups and downs. But, every day, every up or down carries a lesson, which one should try and learn. This would make our life worthwhile.
I like the back and forth of your poem illustrating that life has ups and downs, and it is what you make of them amounts to life. A 10
A beautiful and thoughtful poem. It conveys the true essence of life. Liked the last stanza.Beautiful thoughts well conveyed.
