Baubles Poem by Stefan Splawinski

Baubles

an investiture of noble folk
held in pomp and deadly hush
this award for public service
the order of the toilet brush

the lodge of upward mobility
wobbling blindfold to the dais
ceremonies for stoneworkers
an association based on bias
