I went to Carlsbad Caverns a few years ago and agree that seeing a million bats swirl out their underground cave was quite a sight to behold. It's something one never forgets, and I think you've done an excellent job of capturing the image here Smoky. It was indeed like watching a tormented twist of black cyclone. Perfect choice of words.
