This is a heart-felt and compelling piece about emotional abuse and its long-term consequences. I do hope it's not personal (or current, anyway) . Strong delivery. Great last stanza. Love, Allie xxxx

Ah, dear Alison, there is nothing worse than 'emotional battering'...words, unlike bruises, never, ever go away or can be taken back....years later they echo in your ears.....I've often felt that it's the lack of love they have for themselves that makes them lash out at others...This is a heartfelt and so VERY truthful write.......They say they're sorry but we never forget what our ears have heard......hugs, marci.
