The moment is elusive as old verse.
Music only suggests its fragile self.
Moon drops fall beautiful upon bare panes

The haunting imagery leaves no doubt as to why this poem has been awarded plaudits the 'The World's Poets Quarterly'. You gift of combining color, sound and feeling shines here. - Will

Sandra, as per usual, you have captured the resplendent essence of imageries majique And, once again, your efforts serve as a paradigm for what the mind's eye of the accomplished Poet can see, and express....Fine Work, indeed, young lady! ~ F j R ~ __2008__

Music, verse and nature are artfully woven together to invoke a peaceful mood that combines the best of all of their attributes. This is vintage Sandra and is such a joy and comfort to read. I would like to comment on Javier's message regarding copyright. Copyright law is based on ownership. Sandra has declared that she owned the poem in 2008. She is entitled to declare that fact on her work whether she registers it with the Library of Congress or not. So it is with all the rest of us regarding our own work. Registration with the L of C provides powerful evidence of ownership of your creative property in case of disputes but you are protected by copyright law anyway. It could however be a real pain to prove in court without documentation which registration provides.

Well I say I am amused, most people do not have the money to be able to copyright their poems, since it is a quite expensive task, me myself being the owner of 100. This piece is quite implicit with meaning, as it has a gorgeous meaning. Great write, I will continue to follow thou pieces. With due respect, Jay Falcon USA

You have captured autumn's gracious beauty in this enchanting poem that interestingly, lacks the melancholy that often haunts your work. I continue to enjoy your use of iambic pentameter which fits perfectly with the theme and mood of this piece. love, Alison ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

If autumn has ever been captured, it has, in this beautiful tapestry of words woven out of a pure response that only a poet like you can manage. You have brought about a vintage freshness to this beautiful time of the year. Like Nature's mirror, your reflect its nuances in all its grandeur and pristine beauty. Warm regards... Leonard

Atmospheric, evocative, beautiful... you write of a deep timelessness that posseses the reader well. Good that you liven up the scansion with 'The chill dances', too!

A great poetic flight to eternity with awesome imagery and profundity of thought. I have just jotted down a few lines in response: Autumn lamp bugles the change, Lace patterns go off mind-range. The cool moon drops upon window panes, Evince abating wild fire’s smoke in lanes. Moments come and go, Time goes on forever Musical measures melt away, Natures music never. The hide and seek game is over, Sing the eternal verse for ever, You see new light at the other end, Mocking at moments you firmly stand.
