Barbecue Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

Barbecue

Lunch is much due
Stomach rumbling and I am looking for a clue
Saw a very long queue
Along the beautiful avenue
Stretched to me and from there continue
I am no stranger from Basque
Neither intend to start a critique
Nowhere near a boutique
Little time to argue
I am no brusque
Do not even think it is only for a clique
Got to join before my eyes turn blue
So lucky it was for a share of barbeque
