Banked, As By An Old Creek Bed Poem by james watkin

Banked, As By An Old Creek Bed

Banked, as by an old creek bed
Of luck-struck gold panning.
But lately which doth flow in
This condition instead.
Supple, in its sappiness.
Wind-rippled, flowery.
Flood-tide of yarrow, sun-hazy.
Of tickseed sunniness.
