To see a banyan tree sprawling its branches and spreading shade is a joyous sight... With the slightest breeze, its leaves tremble and quiver... It is believed to be sacred as it is seen in front of a temple! It is equally a haven to travellers in the hot sun and small animals and birds and is sturdy enough to withstand the storm and rain...
