That's why there is a provision of contingent liabilities in the balance sheet. A lovely poem.

A well balanced look at life's balance sheet, a serious matter, as we never want to be in debt-'liabilities'. Ideally we should have plenty of assets but that may not be easy to achieve. I do remember the crossed cheque too.
Thanks for sharing your views on the subject. Tallying of a balance sheet is a tedious job especially when the number of transactions is more or when they are of complex nature.
