The images in my mind are bound
By a somnolent, ghostly haze;

Everyone is gone, gone far away Swept up, cast out and destroyed And I, I am left here to stray Of all my past loves devoid. Nicely written poem. Congratulations.

Wish we could visit our past so that we can unite with our near and dear ones. When they come to the memory it really hurts a lot. The feeling of loneliness kills slowly. Nice drop. Congrats.

A very poignant account of someone who has seen his near and dears depart from his life in his early life or during his youth. Even recalling those images is not possible. Thanks. And I, I am left here to stray Of all my past loves devoid.

Past is gone and is no more, except when it stays in memories. Memory is in souls. Only members of the Animal Kingdom show the need to keep past things in memory. Of them, human needs for boon or bane, surpass every one else's. If one needs to rid of every thing past, the key is in one's own hand. A philosophical stuff nicely and cleverly woven in to a rhythmic material. Congrats for being the PoD. X

The time machine has not yet been invented (and never will be) . We cannot go back to the past. What's done is done. I like how you finished this: Everyone is gone, gone far away Swept up, cast out and destroyed And I, I am left here to stray Of all my past loves devoid. Congrats on having it selected as poem of the day!
