Back Home (Song Lyric) Poem by John Carter Brown

Back Home (Song Lyric)

BACK HOME

I get these dreams in the middle of the night
it always seems, they don't go down without a fight
in my nightmare illusion, wrong or right
I never find my way back home.

I need a hand, to lead me to the door
thinking yes, I've been this way before
seems these dreams are gonna shake me to the core
I can't find my way back home.

I'm in a spin, I'm really on my knees
I cannot find, the wood for the trees
I'm down a long and lonely lane, it's a shame
help me find my way back home.

I'm in a sweat, I go from here to there
I'm seeing trouble almost everywhere
think I've lost my place with the human race
I gotta find my way back home.

I tell my tale to get it off my chest
maybe these dreams I have, are just a test
to find if I have lost my mind, so at best
help me find my way back home
help me find my way back home.
