Back From The Somme 1917 Poem by james watkin

Back From The Somme 1917

Rating: 5.0

Vainly all of him come to pieces
They sent away in hope
Ordinance massed for his objection
Would shout untroublingly.
Link by link, it will recur
To them, to pick him up.
Re-assembling as best they can
From pictures, painstakingly.
