I have not asked for love
to find me a heart or a home;
I have asked the mornings
to awaken me afresh in freedom and peace,
I have asked my dog to run
to make me run behind him in order keep myself fit,
I have asked the sunset
to remind me everyday when it is time, to stop my toil and tiredness;
I have asked my tongue
to thirst for wine and take me to a Pub late evening for a while,
I have asked my friends
to encircle my life and make me laugh when loneliness imbalances my joy,
I have asked the night
to make me feel hungry and force me to eat my dinner voraciously,
I have asked the girls
to forget their whims and sleep with those they wish,
I have asked my pillow to hold all my dreams
to help me remember those that I still have to achieve,
I have asked fate and fortune
to assign me minimum prosperity to help me pose as if I am rich,
I have not asked for love
to come and overpower me as I will fall in love when it has to be...
