Babylon Poem by Stefan Splawinski

Babylon

progress no further
twilight of the grand
designs for the world
castles in the sand

many gilded casinos
behemoths of shame
social security reigns
citadels of the lame

history overlooked
etchings in time
live only for today
submerged in slime
