This is a powerful write, David. We see so many suffering around the world, as well as at home, I think we sometimes tend to just turn it off, maybe in self-defense. At the least we should be more grateful for our own good fortune. Thanks, a great read. Richard

The tragedy can be a bitter pill to swallow, nature is always the stronger and can be devastating in its power. We have been destroying our planet little by little and are now reaping the consequences. I know just what you mean, one is with them yet apart from them. There is only so much the mind and heart can hold. You have explained it extremely well in this poem David, the feeling that we can do nothing to stop these occurrences. A great read.
