hey, geeta! as you have before, you sent me researching, and i learned a little about ayyappan or ayyappa and his special veneration in kerala—so thanks! also, it intrigues me how different colors are perceived in different cultures. black here, as you probably know, is the traditional color of mourning; but i know in some places it is white. red, in the old testament associated with blood and sin, is a lucky color to the chinese. fascinating, yes? hoping this finds you well and thriving, glen

Yesterday, i attended a Novena Service at St. Michael's Church in Mumbai. I thought of you, as a sincere seeker of God and as a devotee adept at Biblical psalms. The voice of God is always heard whichever part of the world you are in. Just then, i see your message here.

Actually, it does not matter what colour you adopt. Its all in the perception. Black and white are the base for all colours. Thank you Glen for your interesting review. Stay blessed.

Ayyappa Swamis and Ayyappans! Great devotees of Lord Ayyappa who have to observe strict self-discipline before going for His darshan at Sabarimala Temple. Thanks, Geeta ji, for such a deeply informative poem. ....abstinence from all worldly pleasures. To keep his body clean.... his mind pure. maintains discipline.... celibacy.
