Away From you Poem by Tara Schley

Away From you

Rating: 5.0

Removed by forests of trees
By lakes that mimic the seas.
By fields of flowers and bees.
Deers prancing the plains in threes.
Glaciers in a deep freeze.
Flocks of Canadian geese.
People up mountains on skis.
By golfers setting up tees.
By hockey players, peewees.
Coaches training their mentees.
Patients dying of disease.
Wills oversaw by trustees.
People paying parking fees.
Girls in clubs doing striptease.
By vacationers' must-sees.
By stray cats covered with fleas.
Shop keeps bartering with pawnees.
Bagels covered with cream cheese.
Babies spitting out green peas.
People going for Chinese.
Bannock bread sold to vendees.
A man walking a maltese.
Ladies looking for lost keys.
By people with the munchies.
By psychedelic steeped teas.
Managers training trainees.
Lovers kissing with an ease.
A soft western ocean breeze.
Departed from you with these,

- kilometres between us.
