a beautiful poem..very few lines..you tell all..how very true...a hands to clasp..soul..all through life
It would be on a tangent due to different faiths we follow but I can actually relate to this “velvet darkness” and when the granite of silence was sliced and Gabriel said “Read” unto Muhammad (PBUH) Awareness descends on the wings of enlightenment - A soul no longer Alone. Thanks so much Linda… this is truly universal verse which always infinite views of love
A simply wonderful poem, with such depth and meaning - awakening a little in each of us!
Linda: Of all the great poems you have written on ph this is my favorite, so simple with so much meaning.
You don't miss a trick in this wonderful piece...for such a small write...the expression explodes so much feeling...brilliant Linda as usual...your works I've always admired my friend....keep exploring
This is brilliant, Linda. So simple. So effective. So powerful. A universe of meaning expressed in a mere handful of lines. How that's impressive. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
If you have ever seen the movie 'The Edge'' with Anthony Hopkins & Alec Baldwin...thers's a striking scene in the movie that finfs 3 businessmen lost in moles of cold winter wilderness after their private plane crashes, and Baldwin & the 3rd man freak out as to what to do...Anthony Hopkins turns to the 3rd man & says: Did you know that the msjority of people who are in crisis, die of Shame? Shame from what, being scared, said the 3rd man....Shame from not doing the one thing that may have saved their lives....Whats that, said the 3rd man...Thinking, said Hopkins.Your 23 word prosaic above this comment is a perfect & eloquent cherry on top of that movie storyline....Nicely Done, Midnight! Enlightenment...awareness...uaing our minds to resove instead of showing off how powerful we are at self-destruction & hurting others for the sake of attention, ego &, well....blissful ignorance? FjR
''Awareness descends on the wings of enlightenment '' this cognitive metaphor suggests the triumph of reason over ignorance...wonderful poem, Linda..10++
An enlightened soul is never alone. A poem well conceived, and crafted.
