Been on this journey for far too long
The battles I've seen, the blood I have shed
Bruised and broken but still I remain strong
Brother and sisters now sleep with the dead
Sword meets sword, eye to eye
War is hell and there truly is no victory
And here I stand before an empty sky
Marching onward to eternity
At the crossroads of life and death
As the cold reveals their final breath
Slipping away within my hands
As the hourglass runs out of sand
The iron will and the broken armor
The battle horns and lightning crash
Destiny has left me all alone
Nameless blood is on my hands
On the soil of our forefathers
Fighting to be the one to last
But all around me is a garden of stone
Is this whats left for my homeland
Awaiting the day when its finally over
When the sun will shine again on my face
Until then I'll look over my shoulder
For where I've come I'll know my place
Awaiting the day when comes my hour
When the winter captures my breath
I'm coming home sisters and brothers
The sweet release from war and death
