Oh My Goodness! This is one of the greatest poems I have read to date. The beautiful images of the river and I could almost smell the woodsmoke. As for the hermit, well, let him be because he seems to know exactly what he is doing in his cave of poetry. You've blown me away with this one. I don't know if you are aware but there is a river near me called the river'Biss', and there is an opening at one point between Bradford On Avon and Trowbridge, this is called 'Biss Mouth'.It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.Tall trees surround, And such an atmosphere.Thankyou for the reminder. If you want the truth, on my way home from work today I was contemplating this place before reading your excellent poem. How strange the order in nature.Love Duncan
