"Ava", I will say
Be a good lil girl when you play,
Listen to your mother when she teaches
And listen to your mamaw when she preaches.
Listen to your Auntie as well
So, many secrets one day she will tell,
Be a good listener all of the time
Then the steps of doubt you won't need to climb.
Good advice to you will be given
Then your soul will happily, cheerfully glisten,
Your family will never steer you wrong
Because in their hearts, will always sing your song.
Listen and understand what you are showed
One day a great life for you will definitely unfold;
"Ava", to you I will say
Have a great life, I do pray.
