Autumnal Collage Comments

Rating: 5.0

Autumn, like an Indian classical dancer, dressed up
Arrives with soft rhymes and quickening steps
She comes aglow, aglow with a rare beauty
Dancing to the bracelet's tinkling song

Old age is like autumn, we are born for all seasons. But there is no season of death. I have seen dying the buds before they could spring in flowers and I have seen flowers that survive even the most hostile seasons. Valsa george has nicely painted the autumn of life in an attractive manner.

I saw the title at Bri's showcase but couldn't read it that day. With fall around us it is so much of a pleasure to read it. Autumn certainly is a time of beauty and sober reflection. You have weaved both in this lovely poem. Thank you for sharing it Valsa.

Another fabulous descriptive write from your pen. You create magic with your words. The reader is simply spell-bound. This is one of the most beautiful pictures of autumn I have ever read. You have lent an aura of romance to the autumn by likening it to a dancer..this is lovely. Autumn truly has a magical effect on the poetic souls. Great work. No less than 10.

Autumn colors more often known here as fall colors are wonder of nature. One is amazed at the wide range of colors which give a panoramic display of our Maker's exquisite art. Leaves must go to make way for the new ones to spring. Trees cannot bear the wrath of winter with leaves left on branches. Beautiful lines make an enjoyable poem. Thank you.

I really enjoyed the vivid imagery and wonderful imagination through which you carried the description of autumn.. The metaphorical implication of it suggesting the perhaps the second last phrase of human life is wonderful too.. For us Bengalis, autumn means Durga puja.. The moment the season comes we gear up for it in excitement, then the celebrations begin, and in the end, just the empty roads remain... It is like that it all begins with a bang, and ends with a whisper, leaving the last syllable of recorded 'careless existence' perhaps echoing in our ears as Times wingèd chariot hurries near.. A wonderful poem Valsa ma'am.. Made me melancholic and a brooding philosopher for a while almost.. Very well crafted, that touches both the heart and the intellect.. Thank you for sharing.

I was there with the explosion of color and sounds and was taken with the brilliance and beauty of Autumn. Dancing as she shakes off her coat of many colors we are given a glimpse of her harshness, which is also promised in the impending winter.....10

Nature in the guise of an Indian classical dancer appearing in the autumn is no doubt mesmerizing as also it's narration in the first part of the beautifully conceived poem. It's aftermath, though, is filled with melancholia due to appearance of trees and forests after shedding the foliage with motley hues. Thanks for sharing.10 points.
