I love your poem, Bri. It's so original even though it was inspired by Oak Tree.... Yours is funnier. What a season to lose one's coat, indeed! Autumn is more spectacular in Europe than in Africa. I'm trying to enjoy it without thinking of the winter chasing behind it. Maybe that's why the tree lost its coat? I've written a few tree poems. One is called, Walnut Tree. And there are two about chestnut trees. Another one coming soon...
This inspired poem about Autumn is really a lovely one.It gives me some ideas about Autumn in America. And I also googled to see the Spanish Moss which is not originally a Spanish plant. It does not belong to Moss family either, rather related to the family of pineapple. It got its name from French explorers who thought it resembled like Spanish conquistadors’ long beards.I really enjoyed the poem.
Very cute, ya big galoot! But what is the it that is being tossed?
Wonderful job of personifying the tree, Bri! 'Twas a joy to read! :)
Nicely done, Bri... Intriguingly apropos stanzaic structure...~FjR~
Aww, that's such a cute poem Bri! I will think of it every time I look at the oak tree in my front yard this autumn.
