Autumn Sanctuary Poem by Carolyn Brunelle

Autumn Sanctuary

A late afternoon sun
Hangs low in the sky;
Silouettes
The landscape
Against the horizon.
Flooded fields of rice
Glitter
In its tangerine glow;
Become
Inviting sanctuary
For weary
Water fowl
On long journeys.
