Brilliant Stevie. Well written. I'm not a fan of winter, and the bugs that accompany it either.
lovely...just the opening started off @ a wow pace When Autumn knocks and hangs his leafy coat up by the door Drifting slowly in and leaving footprints on the floor lovely lovely....so charming romantic and poetic.... :)
You were right i enjoyed this piece, start to finish (The apex of the predators, so dominant are we But every year stopped in our tracks by things we cannot see) for me that was a great line, great job
Wonderful Stevie, love it - I have just one problem however, and that is with the last line: and come the Spring we're thankful when the door on Winter closes. For the past few years, especially this one, I don't recall Winter 's door ever closing! ! Haha, just joking - we've had such a crap 'summer' haven't we. I remember having a snotty nose in May. Great poem though, and yes I do like it.
Excellent skills ...
