Autumn's Nativity (Haiku)

______ AUTHOR'S PROLOGUE ____
A Modern-Contemporary Haiku with
A Traditional flavour in Theme. The
syllabic sequence is unorthodox, by
Traditional Haiku standards. How-
ever, it is accepted, and practiced
as it was over 1,500 yrs. ago, and
the Zen Haiku verse of Matsuo Basho
The standard structure of this three
line, seventeen syllable poem follows
a 5-7-5 syllabic sequence. However,
going back to its origin, there were
three requirements that have been main
stays for more than 11/2 millenniums!
____(1) Three (3) lines,
____(2) Seventeen (17) total syllables
____(3) Nature themed
The 5-7-5 syllabic order came many
centuries later but was and remains
an option to sequence as the Author
see's fit. Thus, I have chosen to
exercise that option in my below Haiku,
by metering the (3) lines as follows:
6 - 8 - 3... I Hope You Enjoy! ~FjR~
