This is both really sad and really beautiful. You've taken a natural moment of sadness, within the life cycle, and made it come alive (more so than it is) . For me this poem has a touch of magic to it, or at least the pure beauty of nature.

Beautiful poem. Captivating from beginning to end and lovely imagery. The second stanza is my favorite verse, great write! :)
